~~ Life Trek Photography, LLC ~~
I just found out I need a photographer tomorrow! Does Life Trek Photography take on last minute projects?
Usually the answer here is a qualified, "Yes!"
When our schedule permits we can often be ready on very short notice. We understand how life unfolds with its many surprises and how such concerns arise at the last moment. We are very sympathetic with such circumstances.
Please call or email right away to find out if we can meet your urgent timing and pressing project needs. Contact Us.
Is my special project or family event too small? I feel silly asking.
Rarely is any project or family event "too small" for Life Trek Photography, LLC. If you want quality photographs by which to remember a special occasion we would be thrilled to talk to you. Just phone or email and ask; it will be our pleasure to discuss the matter with you.
The project I have in mind is really unusual. Does Life Trek Photography do off-the-wall projects?
We often see "off-the-wall" projects as meaning: "fun." We do like to experiment with photography and thoroughly enjoy working with people. Call or email and propose your project and we can determine together if this is the right project for Life Trek Photography, LLC.
Please note that Life Trek Photography, LLC does not participate in unethical, immoral, or illegal engagements. Our Business Philosophy.
Is Life Trek Photography, LLC the right photographic studio for my needs?
Photography is first and foremost an art. It is an art that employs technology and scientific principles. The science and technology continue to grow and improve year-by-year. However, of primary concern is the individual artistic style of the photographer. To that end, the first task of the potential customer is to review the sample images on this website and determine if the photographer's style, our style, matches their own taste. No two poses or sessions will ever be identical or absolutely repeatable, but a photographer's style tends to be consistent over time.
Second, review the pricing. Does the pricing fit comfortably in the customer's budget? Does the total price structure acquire the set of final images in the format that the customer truly desires?
Third, talk to the photographer. The customer must explain their needs and requirements to the photographer. Not all projects will fall within the skill, style, interest, or schedule of every photographer. At other times the photographer will have excellent new ideas for a project that the customer has not yet considered. Bringing such things to light is the desired outcome of conducting discussions between the photographer and the customer.

Does Life Trek Photography, LLC really include delivery of the final digital images in their single portrait pricing?
It is generally true that a single portrait package price includes and covers all of the following:
We do understand that many other studios charge a sitting fee and then also charge much more for both printed images and electronic digital copies of the images. At present, Life Trek Photography, LLC does not engage in this practice. The digital .jpg images the customer receives usually come with permission to be copied, altered, and printed by the customer.
Note: no permission is given for the customer to sell these images since Life Trek Photography, LLC always retains the copyright to every image as well as the commercial copyrights--each image is an original artistic work which belongs to the photographer/artist. Portrait Pricing.
What kind of camera equipment does Life Trek Photography, LLC employ?
Life Trek Photography, LLC prefers to use cropped frame digital SLR cameras, generally shooting in the 18megapixel range. Though I have owned and used full frame DSLR's, I have not been pleased with the image clarity and so continue to use cropped frame equipment. Other camera styles and formats may also be put into service to meet special needs.
We also frequently use diffused flash (or strobe) equipment to illuminate scenes both indoors and outside. If this is an issue please be sure to specify that flash cannot be used, or for what types of images it cannot be used, at the time of our initial customer interview and in writing on the customer agreement.
How far will Life Trek Photography, LLC travel to shoot at a customer's location?
Whether a particular assignment's travel requirements and conditions are acceptable to Life Trek Photography, LLC can only be decided after discussing the details with the customer. Nonetheless, we have some travel pricing guidelines posted for when we deem travel to be acceptable. Travel Pricing Guidelines.
I want an individual portrait made of myself, but I also want one with a friend included in it. Will that cost me more?
Usually we will photograph portraits of individuals and include one or two poses with a friend for no additional fees. Of course, if there are special or extenuating circumstances this general practice may need to be modified for a given client or clients.
I want my portrait to be special. What can be done about that?
It largely depends on what your definition of "special" happens to be. We delight in encouraging you to bring props (e.g. guitars, stuffed animals, books, diplomas) that define well your own individual personality. We also appreciate the unique nature of on-location sittings that reflect your interests: back yards, ponds, streams, wooded areas, and grassy hills. Please contact us and explain how your portraits can best be an expression of your own heart and soul.
How many photographers will come to my event?
Almost all our agreements are for one active photographer, namely Craig Booth, including weddings, portraits, and other events. However, when possible it is quite common for Craig's wife, Jane, to assist with sittings at no additional fee to the customer. At times Jane will also augment the photography by also taking images.
Will you photograph my horses at my stables?
We can and do photograph pets and animals on location, but always after conducting personal interviews to determine the requirements for the project and whether Life Trek Photography, LLC is the approrpriate studio. In fact, we look forward to pet portrait projects.
I have a question you did not answer yet; how can I obtain a response?
